A public debate on the topic "Promoting sustainable development through achieving energy efficiency" was organized in Tuzla by Association Vesta, under the auspices of the EU Special Representative (EUSR) and the Embassy of the Czech Republic and in cooperation with the Directorate for European Integration BiH.

After the successful implementation of the project "Campaign for the prevention of occurrences of bullying among elementary school children," Vesta signed a new contract with the delegation of the European Commission in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the EIDHR programme. The new project is part of the wider programme of Association Vesta entitled "Civil dialog for women's and children's rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina."

The visa regime in the West Balkan countries and the implementation of the Visa Facilitation Agreement were the topics of discussion at the Conference organized by ECAS in Brussels on December 10, 2008. Our presence as a civil society organization from Bosnia and Herzegovina and an ECAS partner organization demonstrated our dedication to future action in this area and our objective that citizens' voice on this issue is heard.

On December 9, the Director of Association Vesta participated in the conference "Civil Dialogue: How can we shape the Europe we want?" organized by the Social Platform in Brussels. The Conference gathered more that 100 participants, representatives of member organizations of the Social Platform, a unique form of organized civil society which is devoted to the advancement of the socioeconomic relations between the citizens of the European Union, and the better recognition of their human rights.

Directress of the Association VESTA participated in Annual Conference "Feminist Visions for a Just Europe" hosted by WIDE network and Dutch Gender Platform that took place on 9th to 11th October 2008. The Conference allow women from Western, Central and Eastern Europe and from the global South to come together and not just share their experiences, but to think critically through alternatives, to learn actively, and to network themselves in a supportive space, building alliances for change.
