Active projects

Assistance to Civil Society Organizations (TACSO) Project started the partnership with VESTA Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to ensure sustainability of TACSO functions after the project ends in 2017.VESTA hosts TACSO in its offices in Sarajevo and Tuzla as of October 2014. The partnership in Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of the process that is being done in Albania, Kosovo, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey. The EU has supported the Technical Assistance to Civil Society Organizations (TACSO) Project since 2009 in the scope of the Civil Society Facility (CSF) mechanism, in order to achieve a strengthened civil society and to stimulate a civil society-friendly environment and culture in the Western Balkans and Turkey.

Expert team of VESTA starts the activities of implementing the 'Outreach to Undergraduate Students in BiH', with the slogan 'EU and YOU', under the auspices of the Office of the EU Special Representative in BiH. Realisation of the programme will be undertaken within the period December 2014 - July 2015. , and up to 650 students from 13 BiH universities and selected faculties/ academy will take part in this programme.

The project “Strengthening community radio sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina” aims to ensure capacity budilidng of VestaRadio in order to contribute to strengthening of the sector itself. Project activities will include development of the new VestaRadio web site with web streaming and online training tools for other community broadcasters, as well as activities of the mentorship program to youth interested in citizen journalism. Within the project a round table and consultation to bring together CRSs in BiH is foreseen in order to initiate joint initiatives. Supported by Canadian organisation WACC.

Within the TACSO support to the initiatives, networks, alliances, coalitions and platforms of civil society organizations (CSOs) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Citizens for Europe is given the chance to further empower its capacities and contribute to the recognition of the role of CSOs in the European integration process.

The project "Women in politics - for sustainable and long-term oriented changes" that addresses the gender issue in the political sphere is implemented by the Vesta Association, with the generous support of the American people through the United States Embassy in Sarajevo.

MEDIA CIRCLE is project (2014-2018) which is overall objective is to establish independent sustainable multilayered cross country Mechanisms for Active Media Policy Monitoring, Advocacy and Emergency response in SE Europe. Project is manged by the Partnership for Social Development from Croatia and realized in partnership and cooperation with the Expert Forum Romania, Association of BH Journalists (BHJ) and Association VESTA Bosnia and Herzegovina; Balkan Investigative Reporting Network – BIRN Serbia; Center for Media Activities Macedonia and Public Policy Institute and Civil Alliance from Montenegro. Project is financed by the European Union.
