Training held for representatives of six online media - ˝Public advocacy and online media ˝
The training on „Public advocacy and online media“, organised by Vesta Association and portal TIP.ba took place in Tuzla, involving 6 online media from Bijeljina, Zvornik, Lukavac Gradačac, Gračanica and Brčko District BiH. The objective of this project is to contribute to further professional orientation of online media and their promoting in the community, so that it can lead to an increased number of their readers in the forthcoming period, thereby contributing to addressing of citizens' problems in each of the selected municipalities. In this respect, the expert staff from Vesta Association and Tuzla Information Portal (TIP.ba) delivered a tailor made training for journalists and associates of news portals www.gradbijeljina.com, www.infozvornik.com, www.lukavac-x.ba, gradacac-x.com, www.infobrcko.com and www.bkc-gracanica.ba.
Strengthening of media environment
Vesta Association's activities were supported by Internews Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a small grant allocated within the project „Strengthening independent media“ (SIM), which is implemented in BiH since December 2010 with the support of USAID. Its objective is to strengthen the media environment in BiH, through development of capacities of regulatory and self-regulatory institutions, improvement of media-related legislation and independence of journalists, and development of online media, new media technologies and innovation.
