Start of the campaign for the promotion of inclusive education in BiH
Save The Children in cooperation with the Network for the promotion of inclusive education "Inkluziv" is launching a campaign for the promotion of inclusive education in B&H. Association Vesta, which is a member of the Network for the promotion of inclusive education "Inkluziv," is going to be actively involved in its activities in the period to come, all for the purpose of serving the interests of the child.
The general objective is to ensure that every single child in Bosnia and Herzegovina has access to and successfully completes good-quality primary education, which is free and compulsory in this country.
In addition, the goal is to increase the understanding of the notion of inclusive education and its advantages and benefits for every child, to raise the public's awareness of the right of EVERY child to education, to ensure that all children are included in the free and compulsory primary education, and to ensure the creation of inclusive schools whose policies, practices and culture will reflect the school's commitment to the true inclusion of every child.
Inclusive education is a process which enables each and every child, including children from marginalized groups, to learn effectively and participate in the formal education system. Inclusive education represents a challenge to the culture, politics and practice of exclusion in education. It removes obstacles for the participation and education of children through recognizing children's individual needs and capabilities.
