New project by Vesta Association „Our radio-our voice“
Supported by the Canadian organisation WACC (The World Association for Christian Communication)
With the support of the Canadian organisation WACC, Vesta Association will implement the project „Our radio-our voice – women in BiH taking part in the decision making processes“. This project's objective is to support marginalised groups of women in Tuzla Municipality. The project foresees that, following a custom-made training, and with the use of media space at Vesta Radio, representatives of marginalised women will raise their most pressing issue, , raise their voices, and that their priorities and needs become recognised by the local decision makers.
During project implementation, Vesta will implement the following groups of activities related to:
- Training for representatives of marginalised groups of women in Tuzla Municipality, on advocacy techniques, role of media, and citizens' participation in the decision making processes
- Preparation and implementation of radio shows, co-hosted by representatives of marginalised women from Tuzla Municipality
- Preparation of the Report on the priorities and needs of marginalised groups of women, raised during months of radio shows. The report will be submitted to the relevant municipal Departments, as decision makers, for their review, consideration and implementation of recommended measures, which will be an integral part of the report.
