Community development needs to be placede back at the local level agenda

Forming of the Local Action Group in Tuzla municipality is expected soon

Vesta Association organised on 9 May 2012 a presentation and a panel discussion on European initiatives for development of rural communities. The objective of this event was to contribute to a better understanding of the EU, its policies and rural development programs, as well as benefits enjoyed by candidate countries, potential candidate countries and EU member states.

The presentation was attended by some 50 representatives of Tuzla Canton's Government, Tuzla Municipality, local communities, farmers' cooperatives, agrarians, producers and NGOs. Participants were informed about the advantages of BiH's getting closer to the EU, especially as it relates to rural community development, and investments in rural development projects. On this occasion participants shared their own views on the advantages of adjusting to EU standard sin rural development, and they discussed the possibilities to improve agricultural and rural development od Tuzla.
