Within the project „Introducing anticorruption measures at Universities in BiH“, Vesta Association and the partner organisation Omladinski komunikativni centar - OKC from Banja Luka, in cooperation with the independent research agency Kronauer Consulting from Sarajevo, is preparing for the research on "Mapping the forms of corruption“, to be carried out at the two Universities (Tuzla and Banja Luka), where this project is being implemented.

For preparation of the Code of Ethical research with children and the Protocol with standards for monitoring of the state Strategy for combating violence against children 2011-2014 in BiH

The beginning of the week was marked by a successfully realised two-day workshop which convened a forum of competent experts from the non-governmental sector and relevant government institutions active in the protection of children's rights and combating violence against children. While exchanging knowledge and experience, the participants gave very constructive recommendations for improving the existent Code of Ethical research with children and preparation of the Protocol for monitoring of the state Strategy on combating violence against children 2011-2014 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Durting the course of this year, 33 civil society organisations gathered under the initiative „Citizens for Europe“ tried to facilitate government officials' committment and public support to the steps that need to be taken in the sectors of energy and environment, agriculture and rural development, and labour and employment, so as to improve the living standard of common citizens, and the country closer to the European Union.

At the invitation of the Public Relations Unit of the US Embassy to BiH, Director of Vesta Association, Amra Selesković, attended on Sunday, 23 October 2011, a meeting with the high level Ambassafor for Global Issues of Women, Melanne Verveer. Ambassador Verveer met with the receipients of financial support granted by the US Ambassador in BiH, and spoke with them about the position of women and the possibiltiies to overcome the problems that they are facing.

For preparation of the Code of Ethical research with children and the Protocol with standards for monitoring of the state Strategy for combating violence against children 2011-2014 in BiH

As part of the project 'Strengthening the role of the civil society organisation in the monitoring of the state Strategy for combating violence against children 2011-2014 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Association Vesta, in partnership with the Association Zemlja djece, Tuzla is organising two-day workshop for preparation of the Code of Ethical research with children and the Protocol with standards for monitoring of the state Strategy for combating violence against children 2011-2014 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The workshop will be held on 31 October and 1 November 2011, at the Hotel Grand, Sarajevo.

With a view to initiate a dialogue, aimed at improving the position of newly delivered mothers in BiH, VESTA Association from Tuzla organised public consultations in Sarajevo on the theme ''Exercising of rights by newly delivered mothers in BiH''. All the participants of public consultations in Sarajevo agreed that it is necessary to make concrete steps toward improvement of the position of newly delivered mothers in BiH, i.e. toward regulation of the entire field of protecting families with children, as a field of special social interest.
